R-Ranch Stables

As an R-Ranch owner; you can bring your own horse for a temporary stay or have free access to our herd of horses. You can join scheduled trail rides on the 20+ miles of North Georgia terrain or ride your own horse on those same beautiful trails.  Large pastures and over twenty stalls allow for the best in equine accommodations.

The R-Ranch barn offers the best in indoor and outdoor horse stalls.  Lined with fresh pine shavings, the stable staff keeps the facility as clean and safe as possible.

The herd at R-Ranch consists of Quarter horses, Paints, Morgans, Arabians, and one Dwarf Belgian; these horses are accustomed to the western-style of riding.  Mostly geldings, with a few mares, the herd has an average height of 14 hands.  Ranging in age from six to twenty-four years old, these horses are gentle companions on a trail.

Lining both sides of the inside of the barn are fifteen stalls complete with heavy, sliding wood and metal doors.  There is also a wash station and a saddle room with a different saddle for each horse.  Outside, the ten stalls are covered by a large metal roof yet remain open on all sides to retain that outside feel.  These stalls are adjacent to the “line-up”, where the horses await daily horse rides.

Experienced riders enjoy the additional freedoms of our "Trail Rider" program.  This program offers owners the chance to lead their own trails, unassisted throughout the property.  Many younger riders sign on as "Junior Wranglers" and work at the barn, care for their favorite horses, and assist with trail rides and other stable needs.
